Hi people! Back in the late 80's I bought a pair of great, dark green lizard skin boots that I just loved; Nobody makes this color anymore, and I would love to find a vintage pair now; Trouble is that I don't recall the make; Anybody remember this color from backin the day? Is Dan Post a good guess?

I have recently been given a fantastic pair of boots; I have been told that they are lizard skin and the tag on them says "Longhorn; Hand Crafted in Mexico"; They are an amazing pair of boots, black with stitched designs, and I was wondering whether or not anyone can give me some more information on the brand? Thanks

I was extremely fortunate to be given a pair of knee-high rattlesnake skin boots from the Larry Mahan Collection; They are definitely older, hand-soled boots; Any way to date them?

Hello, Bootlovers; I have a general question to all of you; I own a pair of lizard boots (Tony Mora) and have bought elephant boots from Lucchese on eBay; I love boots, but here in Switzerland, everyone is super politically correct and wearing a dead elephant isn't exactly the most popular thing to do; Do you guys know more about the way this skin was collected? How bad do I have to feel about this? In the internet, I can't find facts about Lucchese poaching madly or something; I would be very grateful for a few mails from you;

I'm from El Paso and always have been fond of local manufacturers and custom shops like Tony Lama, Lucchese, CA Boots and JJ Boots; I still have my first pair - Tony Lama, Elephant, with Vibram Soles, 1978; Really enjoy the site; Jim

My favorite pair of boots are ones I bought in 1978, and I still wear them regularly; They are getting a bit worn but they are comfortable; Oh yes they are by Dan Post, and they are brown; The seams are starting to give so it probably won't be long til I need a new pair;
