I just found a pair of custom boots at an estate sale stamped R;J Foley Boot Co; Below that it says Phoenix Arizona; So anyone wishing to do more research on this boot maker might want to start there; They aren't fancy but they are well made, probably from the fifties;

Cowboy by trade; Bought my first pair of hand made boots from Paul Bond in early 70s; The LAST pair I ordered are shark skin,$850;00, 6 month delivery, didn't fit; Called sent them back, waited 3 months, didn't fit any better the 2nd time, supposed of made another pair; Very disapointed after the many pair of boots I have ordered from Paul Bond; I don't think Mr Bond is actively involved in the boot making anymore;

I HAVE BENN WEARING COWBOY BOOTS SINCE I WAS ONE YEARS OLD; I HAD TO WEAR CORRECTIVE SHOES SO MY DOCTOR IN DUKE, NC LET MY MOTHER PUT MY COWBOYBOOTS ON THE WRONG FEET; IT WORKED; I HAVE HAD A HUNDRED PAIRS, MY FAVOTITE ARE MY LEOPARD SKIN I BOUGHT AT A THIRFT STORE FOR 12 BUX, WHEN I GOT HOME I WENT ON LINE AND SAW TIM MCGRAW OWNED THE SAME BRAND; I RIDE A HARLEY SO THAT POINTED TOE SURE CHANGES MY GEARS PURRFECT; THE COOLEST PAIR I SAW WERE IN TOWN AND COUNTRY MAGAZINE IN THE 80'S THE HAD REAL INLAID DIAMONDS IN THE TOE IF I KNEW WHO MADE THEM I COULD AFFORD THEM NOW; THEY WERE HOT;

On this website was a phone number and email for a video on professional shoe repairing;(I tried both the email and phone number to no avail) My husband is just starting out although he has done leather work for 50 years; We just got all the shoe repair equipment and would like to have a video or a GOOD book to help in the learning process; Anyone have any thoughts or help would be VERY much appreciated!

Hey I saw a pair of boots on a movie "Romeo and Juliet" with Leonardo DiCaprio; The guy wearing the boots was Tybalt "the prince of cats" and he had these black boots on with steel or metal heels; The heels were a bit higher than usual as well; but not feminine looking; They also had steel pointed tips; I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of boots these are, or if I'd just have to have them custom made;
