I am looking for a custom bootmaker in the Ft Worth area; The boots will be made for a special client of ours who "loves his boots"; We truly want someone who will give our client the royal treatment and whose quality is something that a true local would crave;

Help me! I want a good pair of cowboy boots without spending a fortune; I have tried Tony Lama, Luchesse, Ariat, Justin and others but have yet to find a good fit; Im always told the standard fitting instructions - close fit around the instep, some slipping in the heal is normal, etc; But so far all of them are tight in the toe and just below the toe area and/or end up slipping alot in the heal; I bought and wore one pair hoping they would break in and fit, and currently have two others that I am carefully wearing - hoping that they will start to fit; None of them reall seem to feel good though; I have tried the variations of with vs; length on most of them also; I have also tried boot socks that are padded in the heel and toe but if they help in the heel they make them tighter in the toe area; Any suggestions other than an expensive custom made pair?

I have been wearing Stewart boots since 1977 (they're made in Tucson); They are GREAT! I have never had a moment of discomfort in Stewart boots; I currently have six pairs in various conditions--just got new soles & heels on my favorite pair; A local cobbler did great work;
