My web site is a personal project and is non-commercial. This statement outlines how I handle the information I collect.

When you visit my website, my web server automatically collects the following information about you: your ISP's domain, the time you accessed the Cowboy Boot Web Page and which pages you visit within my website. My web server does NOT automatically collect your name, or your e-mail address, or any other pages on the web you may have visited. On my site I do provide links to products and services offered by other companies; the company's website you link to may be able to determine that you travelled to their site from this Cowboy Boot Web Page.

I participate in an affiliate program offered by Commision Junction. They provide me with the dates, purchase prices and commisions resulting from some of the links provided on my boot retailer page and bookshelf...however, I do NOT know which of my page visitors have made purchases or what items they may have bought. I NEVER receive any details from the retailers (or Commision Junction) regarding your purchases, payments...or any of your billing/shipping information.

I use the statistics about which of my pages folks tend to visit (and what pages they don't) only to impove my website content.

Here's my policy:

• I do not, under any circumstances, sell or disclose to any third party information gathered by any script or by email.

• I make some use of CGI scripts to gather information. For instance, my subscription form, the guest book, and the bulletin board all use cgi script to collect information from visitors like e-mail addresses, individual names, and/or nicknames. Providing me with this information is done strictly on a volunteer basis, you are never denied access to any of my content or web pages by refusing to do so.

• The guest book and the bulletin board are both public, readable web pages. There is nothing I can do to prevent other individuals (sometimes even spammers) from obtaining names from them.

• I do not own my own server. I rent space from ValueWeb.net. I access my web files through a secure connection with a private password.

• All e-mails submitted through the subscription form are logged to a file. This file is password protected in a private directory and is not available to anyone other than myself.

• As of this writing, HTTP Cookies are not being used at this site.

• The names, shop addresses, and e-mail addresses are posted on my website with permission, and you can request to have yours removed at any time.
