A show like this is a lot like a game of hide and seek. Boots are hidin', and I'm seekin'....seekin' those size fives. Actually, now when I go out I have to take my little black book, with a bunch of my friends' phone numbers and boot sizes. I go looking for boots, but sometimes I can't help but get distracted by all the other objects d'art...wall art and carvings by self-taught artists, architectural bits n' pieces, swell ol' commerical-made signage, vintage clothes, cowboy blankets, saddles, bakelite bangles, groovy 1950's guitars...just all sorts of stuff.

Next year, the "Folk Art to Funk" show will be January 11th and 12th, 1998...at Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, California.
