Soles
Kid's cowboy boots crack me up. Look at the plastic soles with the molded "pegs." I've seen brass nails pretending to be pegs... but these made me smile, kinda like those plastic pistols they sell at the dollar store. They are so bang bang phony.

I'm a big fan of your 'blog'. I enjoy reading your passages and appreciate your knowledge. Do you have any reccomendations for a first time cowboy boot buyer? I'd like to own a pair of boots, but I don't know where to start. I've been to some boot shops around my hometown of Raleigh, NC but I haven't seen anything that really interests me. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
